Working with the public is a critical element in the work place. Knowing what the public wants or needs has a direct bearing on a good comprehensive work plan. You need to describe various techniques on how to work with the public and identify what is required for making a successful work plan. Talk to each other and learn.

Working with the public is definitely a critical element in the workplace; and perhaps the most critical element. If you are front line staff, you never know what might happen when someone walks in the front door of your business. I work in social services and everyday, we see clients who are upset because they need assistance with their basic needs... job, food, medical, etc.  Many of these clients have substance abuse issues.  They are not professional or even cordial in their demeanor.  We have to be very careful to maintain a professoinal and positive attidude with such clients, so as not to rock their boat anymore than it is already rocked.  Doing so could compromise our safety in our workplace.  I can't imagine working in emergency services and facing those types of client issues!  Hats off to them!
