The Workshop Overview
The "Concepts of Safety" Workshop is a two-day, 16-hour workshop, where employees are taught principles instead of facts about safety. If we look at safety as a math problem, employees can be given the answers to every math problem but there are too many to remember. If employees are taught the concepts of math, then they can solve any problem.
Some things that employees will learn are: how to think on their feet yet follow all management rules and guidelines; how to report to management, how adults learn, the process of learning and then sharing what they've learned with others, so that others will learn from them. Employees will learn that safety is not just to be practiced at work, but at home. When we feel safe at home, we are rested and more productive at work!
